BLENDER PEA SOUP

1 (17 oz.) can green peas, undrained
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 sm. onion, peeled & quartered

1. Put peas with liquid into an electric blender container. Add
1 cup milk, butter, flour, salt, nutmeg and sugar. Cover and
blend thoroughly. Remove cover and add onion, a quart at a
time, continuing to blend.
2. Pour mixture into an electric cooker.

3. Use the remaining 1/2 cup milk to rinse out blender (cover
blender and turn on, then off). Pour into cooker.

4. Cover and cook on low 1 hour. About 1 quart of soup.
