When this RV singles club was started in 1988, the W.I.N. initials stood for
"What I Need" (is someone my age instead of an old LoW codger) with membership restricted to singles born after 1930. But wags called it the "Women In Need" club, so a rule was established that the letters stood for "Wandering Individual's Network". In 1992, the WIN Director asked me to make the 4th Anniversary cover for the WIN Directory and I gleefully set to work. |
Unfortunately, the Director (a prim retired English teacher) wasn't at all happy with the result, maybe because of the signs mentioning sex and alcohol (shown on the next page). Or because I accidentally made the title look like "WIN Director" instead of "WIN Directory" (she did not think that was funny).
