The Escapee Club newsletter (NL) lasted from August 1978 until March 1994 when it became "Escapees Magazine" with slick color RV photo covers (like all the others, no more cartoons).

Escapee Club founders Kay and Joe Peterson had seen my cartoons on a bulletin board at Camper Ranch's Hidden Valley near Deming NM and I began an association with them (and phred). My first cover appeared on the Dec 83/Jan 84 issue and for the next 10 years I drew the NL covers, 65 in all. Lettering was done with rub-on transfers and coloring was done with acetate layers in those years before computer graphics. Click on pictures to see the larger cover with my comments about them.
